June's jaunt was an eventful one! There was KidzKamp, Grandma & Grandpa Camp, Vacation Bible School, a "Color Wars" birthday party, a paintball & swimming birthday party, and a variety of shows at the public library. Daily piano practice, math review worksheets, and much reading also filled our days. And Griffen even started his first job, taking on the weekly lawn mowing services for our neighbor. Is summer break over yet???
And even with nothing extra on the calendar, life is always full of excitement! We eagerly await Drake's white balloon making its descent from the church ceiling.
Two older brothers thought this was a good idea.

But the highlight of our month was a week-long Grandma & Grandpa Camp in Ankeny, Iowa, with my parents, plus my sister's four kids. Grandpa Bjokne had activities planned from about 9:00 AM to 9:00 PM each day. The time he spent investing in the lives of his grandchildren was over-the-top fun and deeply appreciated.
We returned home with happy hearts and much laundry! MUCH LAUNDRY. In fact, I counted. Here were the totals from my Tuesday, June 20 haul ---
76 shirts
18 undershirts
48 pants/shorts
13 pajama's
50 underwear
41 pairs of socks
18 towels
+24 miscellaneous items
(blankets, sheets, swimsuits, etc.)
And I iron approximately 80% of all our laundry!!! Yes, I know, it's a personal problem.
Here are a few final video clips of life behind the laundry basket.

I love your updates...they always bring me smiles!

Wow
ReplyDeleteThat one amusement park looks like what we used to have at joyland amusement park
Wow that isn't fair, my aunt use to live in iowa.
Was that an arcade in a restaurant?
I would say Iowa hasn't caught up to Wichita yet in change to newer things
I wonder if iowa had to close amusement park yet like Wichita?
