While every month is busy, November was in hyper-drive. We added to our daily routine of church, school, and family several extra special events.
Rhys was baptized on Sunday, November 6.
While Rhys professed salvation almost three years ago, we had some doubts about his true understanding and faith. Our prayers remained fervent that God would begin to develop genuine fruit in his life. In the more recent months, Rhys began asking when he could be baptized and begin taking communion. Despite our many questions, he remained firm that he WAS trusting in Jesus Christ to save him and that he really wanted to take this next step of obedience. Dad got the special privilege of baptizing his second son. We continue to pray that God would sanctify and use Rhys in a mighty way!
Annual Family Tour with Forever Be Sure
There was much packing and preparation as we memorized a 70 minute concert, including music and testimonies. Griffen and Rhys also had to work ahead in their studies, since they were missing a week of school. Then, on Monday, November 14, we hit the road for 12 days, covering more than 2800 miles. We dropped the triplets off with family in Ohio in order to have a more focused ministry. What an immense blessing to travel with my side of the family, including my parents, my sister and her husband, plus her their two oldest children. Our band of ten ministered in six different churches throughout Indiana and Illinois!!! There truly is JOY in serving Jesus!
Ark Encounter in Williamstown, KY
After the tour was over, we spent a day at the newly opened Ark Encounter. There was lots of walking as we toured the built-to-scale Noah's Ark.
Creation Museum in Petersburg, KY
After all our family headed home, we stayed an extra day to also take Griffen and Rhys to the Creation Museum. Awesome reminders of God's beautiful creation and that despite its immensity, He cares for us each individually! Also special was our focused time alone with our two oldest children. Man was that EASY!!!
Thanksgiving in Marysville, OH
After all the pressures of daily travel were past, we spent two relaxing days with Rob's family in Ohio. While the men spent an entire day at the National Museum of the US Air Force in Dayton, OH, the ladies just sat around. It was a glorious change of pace! All this was followed by a day of feasting, football, and fellowship.
Potty Training Begins
As if we didn't have enough excitement already, potty training began a short three days after returning home to Kansas. There must be a lot of people praying, because the triplets are doing AMAZING!!! We just transitioned straightway to underwear and decided not to look back (minus bedtime). With less than a week under our belt so far, they are all consistently going on the toilet with very few accidents. Of course, they are going about 60 times a day and all toilet paper is sitting in heaps on the floor, but they are going. Praise the Lord for this major milestone!
