12 Month Stats

My three littlest munchkins had their 1 year doctor visit yesterday. They were troopers!

Their latest stats are:

Taerik
22 pounds
29.5 inches long
5 teeth
Can pull up onto things and walk around them. Super speedy crawler.
Taerik has now taken the lead as the biggest baby. Not a shocker, since he's always eating - bread, bananas, hot dogs, cheese, eggs, toilet paper, brother's math assignments, etc.

Drake
20 pounds, 14 ounces
30.25 inches long
1 tooth
Trying oh, so hard, to keep up with bubba and sissy.
Current favorite thing is to head butt into them and then laugh hysterically.
Pretty sure I caught him pulling himself up to a standing position today.

Keira
21 pounds, 13 ounces
29.25 inches long
6 teeth
Can stand for several seconds unassisted, but no steps YET. It won't be long, though.
Loves to dump everything out of bath tubs, cupboards and drawers.
Gives the best hugs ever - full arm grip as she rubs your back.

Other than that, it's pretty much life as normal. BABIES EVERYWHERE!!!

Happy Birthday To You....And You....And You!!!

Today my babies turn 1 year old!!! In some ways this past year has seemed like an ETERNITY and in other ways it has flown by. Either way, I AM BLESSED!

Triplets
By Larry Howland

So many good things come in threes,
Like Musketeers and ABC’s.
But triplets are the best of all
From little ones to those quite tall.
And from the time such life begins,
Its extra laughter, triple grins.
With joys and mischief’s multiplied
And two defenders by each side.
So much alike forever linked,
And yet they’re also quite distinct.
They share a birthday and a name,
But moods and tempers aren’t the same.
From days of youth 'til life is done,
It's one for all and all for one.
We’re all quite novel and precise,
But special folks-God made them thrice!

Mid photo shoot drink break.....

And what's better than birthday cake? THREE birthday cakes!!!

30 fingers, 30 toes,
Plenty of work - Heaven knows!
Three beautiful children to our delight
Six more cheeks to kiss goodnight!

And while I consider my triplets a GREAT blessing, this last quote just makes me laugh. So, here's one more for the road -

Hooray for Easter!

We had a wonderful Resurrection Sunday, complete with new clothes, breakfast at church, beautiful music, a thought-provoking skit, a delicious ham dinner, a nap in the afternoon, communion in the evening, and lots of pictures. So, why all the fuss? Because, without the resurrection of Jesus Christ our faith holds no power, out eternity cannot be certain, and our life has no meaning! We most definitely have something to celebrate!!!

"Jesus of Nazareth, who was crucified, has risen." --- Mark 16:6

I have come to accept the fact that a GOOD family picture is just about impossible. There will likely always be someone with their tongue out, someone crying, or someone with a crazy expression. Having said that, here's what we got.

While waiting for choir practice to start, these three discovered some music. Sure hope daddy didn't need that.

This little princess had enough.

Indulge me for a few more moments, as I brag on my blessings! Rhys (age 6) played his first piano solo ever, when he played the Sunday evening offertory at church.

And lastly, let me shine a little spotlight on Drake. This angelic face just melts my heart!

He loves standing in the stroller. One of the great luxuries of a TRIPLET edition.

He can often be found with the wrong pacifier in his mouth. I am being forced to address my O.C.D.

Drake is rarely the culprit in crime. While Taerik + Keira can often spell trouble, this little cutie just crawls in quietly after they get bored from their latest exploit.

Never. A. Dull. Moment.
